I could do it. I have very little experience with the Dom3 late game; so it might not be the most climactic of battles, I promise to do better than the AI though. I would need to be told what the diplomatic and tactical situation is though.

And yeah, compatibility is no longer an issue. Both because Arco is no longer in the game, and because I have been using a borrowed CD key for a while.

I am no longer sick and don't have any exams staring me in the face right now. I could sub for a nation without too much difficulty, and my free time is likely to expand dramatically in the next few weeks.

Positives: I will not go AI. I will play my nation until it is eliminated from the game, regardless of what happens.

Negatives: My approach towards Dom 3 can be lackadaisical and capricious. If you would prefer a more serious approach, you may want to ask someone else.

(By the way, I still intend to post a tattered facsimile of an After Action Report at some point. I think it probable that I will be able to post before the game ends if it doesn't end suddenly for some reason.)

Hm, I think Frank would prefer a player who isnt a former player. (see his post in RevengeOfTheDen)
I myself have no preference. Would be happy with either.
K whats your take?

AI seems fine. Man is about to get swallowed anyway.

It's a question about Ermor, the most powerful position on the table. Man already went AI.

Oh. We need someone for that.

I don't mind a former player coming in. I considered this an exhibition game anyway, which is why I didn't password-protect.

@K, well we have two options:

Might as well toss Akula in. The only way to get late-game experience is to play in the late-game.

So, does Name_Here have an opinion? Is this game being subbed? Or is it going to die?

I want someone to sub, otherwise we might as well declare game over for all the interest the rest of the game will provide.

That is 100% up o Cthulhu, who would have to share his password with his sub.

But yes, assuming you can get Cthulhu to actually do that, that should be done.

What's got you down? Is it the micro?
The key to having any sort of shot at winning this game I have to negotiate with Frank.

Frank has made it clear that negotiating with me personally is off the table.

So, ironically, the only way to win is not to play.

Hi, we are the new management of Ermor. We wish to assure you that the walking dead are merely a source of cheap labor that is in no way a military asset.
We would also like to ask for a 2 turn cease fire to any ongoing conflicts that you might have had with the previous regime. We would like to open diplomatic ties to all nations, former friend or foe, for talks about the mutual future of our land of fruit. Please join us in ushering in a glorious new future.

OK, no. You offered me a "peace" that involves us giving back the one province we took from Ermor in exchange for getting to keep "all" the (zero) other ones. A peace which apparently lasts 2 turns during which you will attack us on at least one of them. This is simply speaking: completely fucking ridiculous. We will not accept a mulligan on a war where you can easily reinforce and we cannot.

We sent in our turn like 9 days ago or something, and we haven't messed with it since you took over. And we're not going to. The gargoyles are in the air, and you can deal with that or not at your pleasure. We know that you can defeat us because you have the biggest army, the most gems, the most production, the most thugs, and the most research. But we also know that we need the damn Golden Order Adepts, and we're willing to fight for them. Because we also know that just because you can win does not mean that you will.

I offered a two turn ceasefire irrespective of anything else. I then asked if we could return to a state of peace, but I said that doing so would require that you give back the province you took because it contained an important mage recruitment site. Those were two different deals, not part of the same one. If you agreed to a two turn ceasefire, I wouldn't attack for two fucking turns, that is what a ceasefire is. But, if we were going to work together it would not involve you taking provinces and keeping them, that is extortion and I frankly don't fear your armies of maenads so I have no reason to stand for being extorted. I offered you two things 1) a two turn ceasefire, 2) a white peace. You were free to accept one, both, or neither.
We know that you can defeat us because you have the most gems
You have me confused with Mictlan, I have no gem gens. Hell, you might have more gem income than I do.

Was it luck, or is there some way to divine sites before you get ownership and Frank made an informed attack?

Cthulhu was pretty bad about leaving his mages where he recruited them. I could derive the locations of all of them by looking through my old turn files if I cared.

Yeah, Cthulhu just left piles of Golden Order Adepts on the border with nothing else. If it had been part of a giant army with hundreds of skeletons staring down Man, I might have written it off as part of the army. But it was literally just turn after turn of Golden Order Adepts sitting there all alone. There was literally only one thing that could be.

Dude, everyone submitted their fucking turns more than two weeks ago. You've had the sub position for a solid fucking week. If a new turn doesn't go up really fucking soon, I'm just going to delete this game from my hard drive.
